Lisa Langdale, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I received a B.S. in Biopsychology from University of California, Santa Barbara and a Masters degree in Marital and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. I have over 20 years of clinical experience working in residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient settings treating teens and adults.
I currently treat individuals, couples, and families in private practice in Southern California. Individual sessions are 50 minutes in length and couples or family sessions are 60 minutes in length. My fee is $150 per session, due at the time of service. I can provide you with a "superbill" for reimbursement from your PPO insurance plan. At this time I am not contracted as an in-network provider for any insurance company. If you want to access your behavioral health benefit to pay for sessions I recommend that you contact your insurance provider and inquire about the percentage of the therapy fee they cover for an out-of-network provider.
I work mainly from a Psychodynamic background and use Cognitive-Behavioral techniques, as well as Humanistic theories and interventions in our sessions. I believe in treating the whole person---mind, body, and spirit. The best way to determine if we are a good fit is to give me a call to chat before scheduling your first appointment!
I am also a part-time instructor at California State University, Long Beach. Currently I teach Family Stress & Coping and Personal & Family Development in the department of Child Development and Family Studies.
I am a wife and mother. I am raising two daughters and feel passionate about promoting healthy/positive body image and self acceptance for my girls and people everywhere.
